To the left you will see a YouTube video that is rather long. If you get the time please sit down and watch it. It give you, in great detail, a look at what is happening to our food today, both in the confinement industry and the butcher industry. This video is called "Food Inc" and it is very educational to anyone who has never even taken a minute to look at how are food is raised and processed.
I once brought my friend from Springfield, Missouri up here to northern Iowa for a visit. I had ended up finding us a side job while he was here. The side job was vaccinating pigs at a hog confinement facility. I said to him "It's a tough job man, but it pays good".
When we arrived at the barn he was baffled to see what conditions the pigs were raised in. He said to me "I never knew this is how our meat was raised, this is terrible". It took me a while to see wear he was coming from, but he is right. When people see those things for the first time, and they get a taste of wear their food is coming from, they are disgusted. And frankly, they should be.
